A Silver Alert has been canceled for a Chandler woman who left home to visit a friend but ended up at a Tempe park.
Authorities said Brenda Johns, 63, was found safe at Kiwanis Park on Tuesday afternoon. She had last been seen Monday around noon near Ray and McQueen roads. She told family she was going to see a friend. Her family reported her missing at 11 p.m.
Johns, who sometimes becomes confused, has problems with her memory and was on prescription medication for ailments.
A spokesman for Chandler Police said Johns was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
