The Phoenix Police are asking for the public’s help to find a suspect who fired his gun at officers who responded to a 911 call.
Two officers arrived at the block of 2600 West Hazelwood Street on Sunday and found a man walking down the street. After shining their spotlights on him, the man stopped and put his hands up before he pulled out a handgun and shot at the police vehicle, hitting the middle of the windshield.
Neither officer was injured.
Both officers exited the car, which rolled into a fence. The suspect ran and police could not find him after searching the area.
The suspect is described as a 25-year-old Hispanic male who is 6-foot and 190-200 pounds. He had curly/wavy dark hair and was wearing a dark hoodie or shirt with dark shorts and a red bandana around his neck.
