PHOENIX — Arizona violinist Lindsey Stirling is the focus of a new documentary that will be soon be available on YouTube Red.

Entertainment magazine Variety said the documentary, “Lindsey Stirling: Brave Enough” will hit the paid version of YouTube on May 17.

The film will follow Stirling during her worldwide tour to promote her third album, “Brave Enough.”

“[Stirling] is a remarkable talent who stayed true to her vision and found her audience on YouTube,” Susanne Daniels, the global head of original content for YouTube told Variety.

“This documentary celebrates her unique sound and showcases the creative force behind the music. She faces life’s challenges with an optimistic spirit that her fans love – and one that is truly inspiring. ”

However, the trailer seems to show it will be more about Stirling’s life than just her tour.

“I know what it feels like to be afraid,” Stirling said in the trailer. “I know what it feels like to not believe in myself. I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and hate everything that you see.”

Born in California, Stirling moved to Gilbert at a young age. She first entered the public eye during on “America’s Got Talent” in 2010, but her popularity exploded after she began to upload original songs on YouTube.

Since then, her channel has received billions of views. Stirling was nominated for two Billboard Music Awards this year.

The California-born, Arizona-raised artist enjoyed a healthy amount of success last year. She performed with legendary singer Celine Dion at the Billboard Music Awards and played the national anthem prior to the San Francisco 49ers’ Monday Night Football game.

She also created the feature song and contributed to the score for Disney’s “Pete the Dragon” film that was released in August.

“Brave Enough” is not the first documentary about Stirling. In 2014, Ovation TV aired a two-part series about her life.

We want to hear from you.
