PHOENIX — Another family from Arizona has made their small-screen debut on “Family Feud,” AZTV7 announced Thursday.

The McDonald family, made up of Lori, her brother Kevin, sister Abbie, nephew Michael and cousin Maurice, appeared on three days of the family game show, Brian Cisek with AZTV7 said.

The family was born and raised in Glendale, Lori said in an email, and decided to audition for the show last January because they are “extremely competitive” and a “large” family.

“The audition process was so fun and challenging and we rose to the occasion each step of the way,” Lori said. “We were able to end the season as the last family standing for the 2016 season.”

The family ran into a dilemma before the tape even started rolling, Lori said. One of the family members who was slated to compete was Jessica McDonald of the United States women’s national soccer team.

After the family flew to Atlanta to start taping, Lori said, Jessica found out she could not compete because she had to play with her pro team after the family was held over the weekend to film on Monday.

Luckily, the family had a cousin living in Atlanta whose mother’s maiden name was McDonald, so they recruited a new member, reauditioned and made the show — again.

Despite the setback, Lori called the experience “amazing” and said the family was treated “extremely well.”

“The best part, of course, was meeting Steve Harvey,” she said.

This is not the first time an Arizona family was featured on the game show: An episode featuring the Montijo family from Casa Grande premiered in April.
