Crash on I-10 westbound backs up traffic multiple miles in downtown Phoenix

A crash on the Interstate 10 westbound near Jefferson Street has backed up traffic for two miles according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
ADOT advised those trying to get through the area to take State Route 143 or Interstate 17, with the crash blocking multiple lanes.

The backed up traffic is just west of Sky Harbor International Airport.
Ther was also an accident on the Loop 202 westbound, bringing roughly a mile of backups according to ADOT.

Downtown Phoenix is home to several events during the weekend of the NCAA Final Four, including a three-day music festival at Margaret T. Hance Park and the Final Four Fan Fest at the Phoenix Convention Center.
