Main Street Minute: Jersey Mike’s to donate day’s sales to charity

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Eat a sandwich, help a charity. Jersey Mike’s sandwich chain will donate 100 percent of Wednesday’s sales to fund local nonprofits. There are 26 locations in the Valley. The proceeds will to go to benefit Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

• Millennials wanted. Internet contact center 24-7 is bolstering its staff by 300 and hosting a hiring event Wednesday. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. near Southern Avenue and Country Club Drive in Mesa. It will include games, food and prizes just for interviewing.

• A Wednesday job fair was scheduled in Mesa from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Convention Center near Center Street and University Drive. Prospective candidates will be able to meet with hiring managers in health care, retail, customer service and digital marketing.
