PHOENIX — Two years ago Starbucks had a cup controversy on its hands when customers were angered there weren’t enough Christmas decorations on the coffee shop’s annual holiday cups.
In November, Starbucks rolled out its “unity” cup ahead of Election Day, as CEO Howard Schultz said the coffee giant wanted to come up with a symbol to serve “as a reminder of our shared values.”
This time around, Starbucks is going to introduce spring cups.
These cups, which will be available beginning March 16, are full of color with white dots and hand-drawn designs. Of the designs, some include suns and umbrellas.
The cups will be available only for a few days, as they are meant to celebrate the arrival of the spring season, which begins on March 20.
