PHOENIX — Tax Day is quickly approaching and the city of Phoenix is offering free help so residents don’t stress about the April 15 deadline.
The city of Phoenix is offering free income tax preparation and filing to anyone making less than $54,000 per year.
“Bring in your documentation, such as your picture ID, Social Security cards, W-2s,” Briselda Rodriguez with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program said. “You come in, you sign up … and you just wait to see a preparer.”
Rodriguez said most taxes can be completed at the locations. However, “we have a list of some tax returns that we can’t do because [they] requires certain certification – and our volunteers might not have that certification.”
