PHOENIX — The Arizona Biltmore Hotel in Phoenix underwent a $35 million renovation last year, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
The renovation is the “largest amount spent on a hotel renovation” in the Valley over the last year, according to the publication. It was unveiled last year, with upgrades that included a new lobby, upgraded guest rooms and new poolside cabanas.
The hotel has been a staple in the Valley since 1929 and has “consistently” updated its look, even when the Great Recession hit in 2008.
Ryan Fitzgerald, the hotel’s manager, was recently hired on from Loews Philadelphia. General Manager Sheila Foley told the Business Journal that Fitzgerald’s “laser focus on exceptional service and proven leadership” has made him a great fit at the hotel.
“With recent renovations that have further enhanced our luxury aesthetic, it’s important that we continue to offer our guests the highest standards of service,” Foley said. “Ryan’s laser focus on exceptional service and proven leadership at luxury properties made him an ideal selection and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
