PHOENIX — After problems arose with its location, Huss Brewing Co. now has its opening date in uptown Phoenix, according to Phoenix Business Journal.
The new location for a standalone tap room will be in the Uptown Plaza, off Central Avenue and Camelback Road. The company will be opening its doors on April 14. It will be Huss’ second taproom location in Arizona, the first being in Tempe.
The issue for Huss was when a taproom’s location was thought to be a problem for a group representing the neighborhood of the location. Those in the group thought the location was a bar and were told there would be no more in the area.
Huss cleared up that the location as a taproom and not a bar, meaning they will only serve beer and wine.
The lease signed by Huss had made sure it was going to distinguish itself further by saying it won’t play live music, have any speakers outside or go beyond usual business hours in terms of a closing time.
The concern was how close the location was to some neighbors’ backyards, but those issues appear to be no problem anymore with the taproom set to open its doors in just over a month.
