• Phoenix Union High School District’s annual Spring Teacher Career Fair is scheduled for Saturday at Metro Tech High School near 19th Avenue and Thomas Road. The district is hiring teachers for 2017-2018 in all areas, especially in English as a second language, math and physical science. Initial screening interviews begin at 7 a.m.

• The Southwest Autism Research and Resources Center cut the ribbon cut on a cafe Friday morning in Phoenix. Beneficial Beams will offer internships to young adults with autism to help them prepare for future employment. The ceremony was at Burton Barr Central Library near Central Avenue and McDowell Road.

• Salt River Schools is holding a job fair on Saturday at Salt River High School near Country Club Drive and Chaparral Road in Scottsdale. The district is hiring prekindergarten through 12th grade teachers, assistant teachers and more.
