PHOENIX — Beer taps will be flowing again soon at a popular Phoenix pub after it encountered problems with its liquor license late last year.

In a Facebook post, the Rose and Crown, located near Seventh and Van Buren streets in downtown Phoenix, said it would return to more traditional bar hours in the coming days.

The British-themed bar transitioned to a daytime-only schedule in late December after it ran into problems with its liquor license and was unable to sell alcohol to customers.

Don Phillippi blamed bureaucracy for having to reapply for the permit after a name change.

The spot is known for trivia nights and as a gathering place to watch English soccer on big-screen TVs.

In the same post, the bar said trivia nights would resume in two to three weeks.

We want to hear from you.

Interest rates may have peaked. Should you buy a CD, high-yield savings account, or a fixed annuity?

Interest rates are the highest they’ve been in decades, and it looks like the Fed has paused hikes. This may be the best time to lock in rates for long-term, low-risk financial products like fixed annuities.
