PHOENIX — More and more Valley millennials are choosing to live life on the road. Last year, Phoenix saw a 137 percent increase in travel trailer and fifth-wheeler sales.

Mark Boggess, president of the RV company Good Sam Enterprises, said the RV lifestyle appeals to recent college grands and young couples.

“It’s a way to get away from the cities, to get outdoors and be in the active lifestyle and kind of get disconnected,” Boggess said. “Sometimes, we’re so tied to these dag gone portables and mobile phones and stuff today.”

Boggess also said financing is readily available for those who are interested in taking their life on the road.

If you are interested in learning more about RVs and specific models, you can head down to the Good Sam RV Super Show at Phoenix International Raceway through Sunday.

And for those who end up purchasing an RV, you can take it and travel to places such as Kartchner Caverns State Park in southern Arizona.

We want to hear from you.
