PHOENIX — With its desirable climate, affordable living and overall quality of life, it’s no wonder that many come to Arizona to take part in leisurely activities, such as golf.
Many know Arizona for its top-of-the-line golf courses, but three courses in the state recently ranked among the top 50 in the nation, according to Golf Advisor.
The three courses included Maricopa’s Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Course (No. 6), Peoria’s Quintero Golf Club (No. 8) and Wickenburg’s Los Caballeros Golf Club (No. 26).
The courses ranked among the best in the nation due to player reviews, staff friendliness, pace of play and value.
For once, a Scottsdale golf course did not make the rankings. During the week of Jan. 30, TPC Scottsdale is hosting the Waste Management Phoenix Open, an annual golf tournament with some of the sport’s biggest names.
