Phoenix-area school’s anti-President Donald Trump skit raising eyebrows online

PHOENIX — A skit with anti-President Donald Trump overtones filmed at a Phoenix-area high school is raising eyebrows online.

In the skit — filmed at Boulder Creek High School in Anthem — Principal Lauren Sheahan plays the part of Trump’s campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway. Another staffer portrays the president.

In the skit, the person portraying Trump opens by saying, “We’re going to make Boulder Creek great again. We’re going to drain the jungle.”

It takes about 10 seconds to get to the first concerning moment, when the person playing Trump says, “We will build a wall around or border and keep those moron parents and weak and loser students out.”

The rant continues until Sheahan steps in to clarify the faux Trump comments.

The skit goes on for nearly seven minutes and touches on everything from women, foreign languages and even a shot at the president’s hand size, something that was a running joke over the summer.

The video received some negative attention online, particularly on Twitter.

Sheahan told 12 News she apologized for offending anyone with the skit.

“Our intent was to share it only with the staff and connect the satirical skit to our work ahead for the rest of the school year,” Sheahan wrote, adding that she was “deeply sorry to anyone who was offended.”

The Deer Valley Unified School District said it did not approve of the skit and Sheahan and the other staffer were placed on administrative leave.

We want to hear from you.
