KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• If you’re looking for a job in banking, accounting, human resources, customer service, sales and marketing, there’s a big hiring event Wednesday in Phoenix. The event runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Holiday Inn and Suites Phoenix Airport near 48th Street and University Drive.

• Small businesses in the Valley sold for a median price of $170,000 last year. That’s the result of a BizBuySell study of nearly 230 business transactions.

• Hey, it’s not classified. The Secret Service is hiring special agents nationwide, including Phoenix. Applications are being accepted until Friday.
