You know that one song you hear everywhere you go and no matter whether you loved it or hated it when you first heard it, it’s now unbearable?
That’s how TIME feels about “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake.
The magazine released a list of their “Top 10 Worst Songs” in accordance with their “Top 10 Everything of 2016” rundown through the end of the year.
Timberlake’s summer jam was No. 1.
Timberlake hadn’t debuted a solo track in nearly three years when he dropped this uninspired “song of the summer” contender. The insipid earworm—which was ostensibly recorded for an animated movie about trolls—became essentially unavoidable at any social gathering where someone in attendance was likely to use the phrase “cut loose.” Forget the feeling—just please, please stop this song.
The song has over 325 million views on Youtube and was the best-selling song of 2016.
“Mom” by Meghan Trainor was second and Iggy Azalea’s “Team” rounded out the top three.
