Here’s a random act of holiday kindness that is novel and entertaining: A Wisconsin police officer who nabbed a speeding college student ended up doing the kid favor — tying his necktie for him.
WBAY-TV reported the Menomonie Police Department posted dash cam video of the traffic stop on its Facebook page Tuesday.
Officer Martin Folczyk followed the University of Wisconsin-Stout student down a street and into a parking lot Nov. 30.
Everyone has an excuse why they were speeding but this one was really unexpected. The unidentified student said he was speeding because he was late for a presentation and was trying to find a buddy to tie his necktie.
Folczyk asked for the tie and knotted it while the young man retrieved his registration information from the car. The officer even adjusted it after the student put it on.
The thoughtful officer sent the kid on his way with a warning to ease up on the gas.
Folczyk possibly should be everyone’s best man.
