For most people, the sky is the limit.
For Amazon? They can cross that off the list.
The online behemoth has successfully completed a package delivery via air by drone. This type of delivery has been dubbed “Prime Air” by the company.
These deliveries are completed without any human assistance during flight, and the packages arrive within 30 minutes or less.
The drones fly at just below 400 feet, can carry packages up to five pounds and are guided by GPS to reach their destinations.
Currently, Amazon is performing test flights in Cambridge, England, but plan to slowly expand from the United Kingdom facility within the next few months.
