Peoria ATV accident leaves 18-year-old ASU student dead

PEORIA — Peoria police have identified a Virgina Beach man killed in an ATV accident Saturday afternoon.

Police said that Jonathan Fulton, 18, was riding an ATV around 4:20 p.m. near Cow Creek Road and Castle Hot Springs Road when the four-wheeler hit a tree.

Fulton, a student at Arizona State University sustained significant head injuries in the accident and was not wearing a helmet. He died at the scene.

The incident is still under investigation but police do not believe that impairment was a factor in the accident.
