Main Street Minute: East Valley moviehouse kicks off holidays with slate of favorites

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

Pollack Tempe Cinemas is spreading seasonal cheer Thursday night showing free holiday movies. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Movies, which include “Home Alone,” “Holiday Inn” and “Scrooged,” start at 7 p.m. The Christmas-decorated theater is on Elliot Road at McClintock Drive.

• Chandler-Gilbert Arc is holding a hiring event Thursday. The event runs from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the office near Arizona Avenue and Elliot Road. The nonprofit is looking for part and full-time direct support professionals to work in its community living group homes.

• Humana has openings for more than 100 full-time customer care specialists and pharmacy customer care advocates at its call center near Kyrene and Elliot roads in Tempe.
