PHOENIX — A conservative group filed a lawsuit Wednesday demanding the FBI look into a meeting between Bill Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch that took place on an airplane in Phoenix.

The American Center for Law and Justice said it filed the suit because it had questions about the timing of the meeting, which took place onboard a place at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The meeting happened just days before Lynch announced Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton would not face charges relating to her use of a private email server.

The ACLJ said the FBI processed its Freedom of Information Act requests, but did not turn up any related documents.

The suit demands access to all names, documents and communications related to the meeting.

Lynch said after the meeting that it was of a personal nature. She said it was unplanned and happened while the former president was waiting to depart and walked over to the attorney general’s plane after she landed there.

Lynch was traveling with her husband and said her conversation with the former president “was a great deal about his grandchildren” and their travels. The former president, who recently became a grandfather for the second time, told her he had been playing golf in Arizona and they discussed former Attorney General Janet Reno, whom they both know.

“There was no discussion of any matter pending for the department or any matter pending for any other body. There was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of the State Department emails, by way of example,” Lynch said in Phoenix.

The ACLJ is involved in several other lawsuits against the Obama administration.
