Main Street Minute: Scottsdale resort hosts tryouts for holiday festival

• A popular Valley resort has scheduled a casting call for Christmas characters. The Fairmont Scottsdale is holding auditions Thursday for its seventh annual Christmas at the Princess festival. Tryouts are scheduled from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The resort is located near Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard.

• An international tea chain will make its U.S. debut in the Valley. The Phoenix Business Journal reports Taiwan-based DaYung’s Tea has leased space near Mill and Southern avenues in Tempe. DaYung sells fruit teas and smoothie drinks.
