At least 4 killed, dozens injured in football team bus accident

A football team bus carrying 46 passengers who were traveling to play a game got into an accident Saturday and left four people dead.
According to multiple reports, Ramah Juco Academy of Rock Hill, South Carolina, was traveling to Fayetteville, North Carolina, to face off against the University of God’s Chosen Disciples football team when the bus crashed.
“According to the Hamlet Fire Chief, the bus hit an overpass on a Highway 74 bypass,” a local news organization from North Carolina reported. “The Highway Patrol also said there was ‘bus tire failure.’ The bus ran off the road and struck the front of the guard rail.
“Several passengers were ejected from the bus, according to the State Highway Patrol.”

USA Today reported that 42 people were injured and transported to four hospitals in the area, while only one person on the bus was not injured. They also said that not only were there players from Ramah Juco Academy on the bus, but there were some players from Clinton College as well.
NBC Sports reported that eight of the injured were listed in serious condition, and two others were airlifted to another hospital.
The identities and whether the four killed in the crash were coaches or players has not been confirmed.
