Arizona State University had $35 million worth of upgrades done over the summer to facilities and grounds across their campuses, and that’s not counting some of the more substantial work done.
The university’s Facilities Development and Management was the group behind all the change, which totaled 75 projects.
This does not include the various other projects around the university that were much larger in scale.
Beus Center of Law and Society opened for the new school year, a $129 million home to the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law that has various amenities to benefit the environment such as 90 percent of the construction materials being materialized or interior vacancy sensors for reducing power usage.
For sports fans, the most notable work done was Phase II of the renovations at Sun Devil Stadium. New stadium seating, better connectivity for cell phones, a plaza deck and an end zone with a new student-athlete facility are some of the amenities added.
Other projects done were Phase I of the palm walk renovation and changes to the dining hall in the student union.
