PHOENIX — Two resorts in the Valley were shining a bit brighter this week.

Arizona Foothills Magazine reports that Triple-A has given The Camby, in Phoenix, and Hermosa Inn, in Paradise Valley, its Four Diamond award. Both resorts will be honored by Triple-A at the Four and Five Diamond celebration later this year.

One of the Valley’s newest luxury resorts, The Camby wasted no time finding it’s way onto the Triple-A Diamond list after opening in late 2015.

“We are immensely proud of The Camby’s Triple-A Four Diamond recognition in our first year open as a hotel,” said Greg Miller, chief inspiration officer for the resort. “This achievement acknowledges the dedication our team has to provide the best quality service to our guests and we are extremely honored to receive this award from such a notable organization.”

Hermosa Inn joins its upscale restaurant, Lon’s at the Hermosa, on the list. Lon’s was named a Four Diamond restaurant 11 years ago.

“This honorable recognition comes at a very exciting time as we near completion of one of the biggest renovations in our 80-year history,” Stephen Ast, The Hermosa Inn’s managing director, told the Foothill News.

Candidates for the rating undergo multiple unannounced evaluations, with a final decision being made by a panel of experts.
