Main Street Minute: Luxury spa chain expanding to Peoria

• Peoria is getting a new luxury spa. Scottsdale-based Spa 810 is opening Thursday near 75th Avenue and Bell Road. Later this month, another of the spas will open near Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard. That’s the chain’s second site in Scottsdale.
• Slim Chickens will open its first Arizona location next week near Gilbert and Guadalupe roads in Gilbert. The Phoenix Business Journal reports the Arkansas-based company said it would be hiring for 30-40 positions.
• Copper State Rubber just broke ground on a 150,000-square-foot facility in Avondale. The company said 50 employees will work at the site with eventual plans to add at least 50 more. Construction is slated to finish in March.
