LAS VEGAS (AP) – A brother lashed out in a Las Vegas courtroom at his 31-year-old sister during a hearing on criminal charges that she killed his pregnant wife and unborn child in a knife attack last October.
An armed courtroom marshal chastised Aristeo Indico for shouting, “I’ll see you in court,” during Monday’s appearance by Elinor Malansing Indico, the Las Vegas Sun reported (

Outside the courtroom, Aristeo Indico said it was hard to control his anger in what he suggested was an open-and-shut case. He called it a “no-brainer.”
“I want it to be done and over with,” Aristeo Indico said.
Clark County District Judge Stefany Miley rejected a request by Elinor Indico’s defense attorneys to send her case back to a grand jury to consider her claim that the slaying of 26-year-old Ashley Indico, who was 9-months-pregnant, was self-defense.
The judge scheduled trial Aug. 18 on murder, manslaughter of an unborn child and child endangerment charges.
Elinor Indico has pleaded not guilty. She is being held without bail at the Clark County jail.
Her attorney, Deputy Public Defender Norm Reed, said Tuesday he’ll appeal Miley’s ruling to the Nevada Supreme Court.
Reed noted that Indico had stomach wounds that she told police she received when she fought Ashley Indico for a knife during an Oct. 16 argument after being told to move out of their apartment.
“A claim of self-defense … clearly explains the charge,” Reed said.
Prosecutor David Stanton said Elinor Indico may have injured herself when she attacked Ashley Indico with a double-handled martial arts knife.
Police said Ashley Indico’s 5-year-old son was present during the attack and summoned help from a neighbor.
