PHOENIX — Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will hold two events in Arizona next week.

Pence plans to hold town-hall style events Tuesday in both Phoenix and Tucson, said Brian Seitchik, the Arizona director of Donald Trump’s campaign.

In an email, the Trump campaign said the Tucson event will be held at the Fox Tucson Theater at 17 West Congress Street. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the event will begin at 2 p.m.

Pence will then head to the Phoenix event at the convention center downtown, where the doors will open at 4 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump picked Pence to be his running mate earlier this month, just days before the party’s convention kicked off in Cleveland.

Trump’s choice of Pence, the governor of Indiana, was met positively by other Republicans who were hoping for a steady, disciplined counterpart to Trump’s freewheeling style.

Arizona has been no stranger to visits from the Trump campaign over the past year. The Republican nominee has visited the Valley four times over the past year, the latest of which came in June near downtown Phoenix.

During his Arizona rallies, Trump has spoken critically of illegal immigration and the VA, both of which echo heavily with Arizona voters.

Trump has spoken highly of former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, while Gov. Doug Ducey has said that he hopes to help deliver the state for Trump in the November general election.
