Arizona film festival welcomes movie lovers and makers alike

PHOENIX — The Prescott Film Festival begins its seventh year of appreciating independent film and film making Sunday.
The festival will also host a selection of free workshops, thanks to a partnership with Yavapai College’s Film and Media Arts Program.
The kickoff event is a wine tasting that doubles as a film-noir showing.
The event charges a $10 general admission but offers $125 and $195 passes for special access throughout the entire duration of the festival, which ends on July 24.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the Film & Media Arts program office on the Yavapai College campus from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Once the festival begins, the office will be open from 30 minutes before the first show of each day starts and close 30 minutes after the last show starts.
