WASHINGTON (AP) – NORAD says a Coast Guard helicopter has intercepted a small plane out of communication in a restricted zone around Washington.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command says the Cessna was intercepted around 9:30 a.m. Friday and landed at Potomac Airfield in Friendly, Md., without further incident.
Officials say the pilot was directed to contact the Federal Aviation Administration for further direction.
