Movies in a Minute: ‘The Legend of Tarzan’

Jul 1, 2016, 10:30 AM | Updated: Aug 22, 2016, 4:05 pm

The story of Tarzan and his introduction has been told before. When Tarzan leaves the jungle and returns as Lord Greystone, that story might feel a little new and untold to us.

That’s exactly what “The Legend of Tarzan” is designed to be. It is a look at the history of Tarzan, and how he returns to Africa to save the Congo.

The movie looks to be incredibly well-shot, and gives a sense of what it is really like to be in the jungle, with terror and darkness. And of course, there promises to be a lot of action and at least one love scene with Tarzan’s wife, Jane.

On the one-to-five scale, I’m giving this a four.
