CHESTER, Md. (AP) – Authorities says four young men have been killed and one injured in a two-vehicle collision on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Queen Anne’s County sheriff’s spokesman Dale Patrick says the accident occurred about 4 p.m. Wednesday near Chester.
Patrick says the four victims, who were in their late teens and early 20s, were in one vehicle and the driver of the second vehicle survived. Patrick says the driver was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The condition of the driver was not immediately known.
The spokesman says speed appears to have been a factor in the head-on collision, but it was still under investigation. The identities of the victims were not being released pending notification of family members.
