43 Phoenix businesses recognized as healthy worksites

The Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP) had its annual recognition event at Steel Indian School Park’s Memorial Hall Thursday, and recognized many businesses for having a healthy environment.

In partnership with FitPHX, HAWP awarded 43 Phoenix businesses with the “Healthy Arizona Worksites Award,” according to the city.

FitPHX is a citywide, healthy-living initiative that was launched by Mayor Greg Stanton and others to try and boost health in the region.

“Estimates indicate more than 500,000 employees have been impacted due to employers’ commitment to HAWP and wellness in the workplace since its inception in 2013,” said the city of Phoenix.

The 43 businesses awarded were:
