John McCain is seeking a sixth term in the Senate, and he has a lot of current and former Arizona mayors supporting him.
Fifty-three in fact.
Sen. McCain, who was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1986, faces a primary challenger in Kelli Ward, who was elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2012.
Ward resigned from her post in order to focus all of her resources on landing a position on the U.S. Senate, but she won’t have as many Arizona mayors backing her as McCain will.
