PHOENIX — The Arizona Attorney General’s office is suing a Scottsdale auto glass firm over allegations that the company repeatedly solicited residents on the National Do Not Call Registry.

The firm, Larmore Auto Glass, LLC, which operates under the names O’Reilly’s Auto Glass and Freedom Auto Glass, is accused of of making unwanted calls to advertise windshield replacement services to Arizonans.

The list included residents who were not only on the National Do Not Call Registry but that, in some cases, had also told the company this and requested that they not be called again.

“I’m fed up with businesses that refuse to follow Arizona’s telephone solicitation laws,” said Attorney General Brnovich in a press release. “Consumers should not have to deal with harassing and unwanted sales calls in the privacy of their own homes.”

The consumer fraud suit filed by the attorney general’s office requests a court order to stop the calls that Larmore Auto Glass is accused of and requests that the company pays civil penalties along with any court fees caused by the lawsuit.

This is the second suit that the attorney general’s office has filed this month against an auto glass firm for call list violations.

We want to hear from you.
