PHOENIX — The Democratic National Committee is coming to town – and no, it’s not to bash Donald Trump or the Republican Party.
Members of the committee want public input on the platform the party should pursue during the upcoming election.
Leah Daughtry CEO of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, said the party wants input from Phoenicians on three specific areas.
“Health and safety, energy and the environment and expanding of democracy, which covers things like campaign-finance reform and voter participation,” she said.
The Democrats will be here through Saturday. They’re meeting at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Phoenix.
The Phoenix forum is one of four the party’s holding around the country.
