Movies in a Minute: ‘Finding Dory’

Jun 17, 2016, 9:06 AM | Updated: Aug 22, 2016, 4:04 pm

Get ready to feel old: “Finding Nemo” came out 13 years ago.

While that seems like a long time to wait for a sequel, “Finding Dory” is worth every second.

It seems that 2016 is a great year for family movies and the latest Disney Pixar entry keeps that ball rolling right along.

“Finding Dory” plays off the the original characters from “Nemo,” but does a great job furthering the story. It introduces new characters, new jokes and a new story.

In the latest underseas adventure, everyone’s favorite forgetful fish, Dory, is looking for her parents. Surprise, surprise, she runs into trouble and it’s up to Marlin, Nemo’s dad, to track her down.

My only complaint about the movie — and something you parents may want to keep in mind — is that it runs a little long. I noticed some little ones were pretty over the film once we hit the hour mark.
