FBI timeline of Alaska serial killer’s travels

Dec 8, 2012, 12:50 AM

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) – Authorities are seeking the public’s help finding other potential victims of an Alaska man who they say may have killed close to a dozen people across the country.

Israel Keyes confessed to murdering eight people before he committed suicide Sunday in an Anchorage jail cell. FBI and Anchorage police investigators said Friday they think he might have killed at least three additional people.

The FBI put together a timeline of Keyes’ whereabouts based on his financial and travel records.

Keyes had lived in Anchorage since 2007, but the timeline shows he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. over the past several years. The FBI said he had a pattern of landing in one location then driving long distances, so most of the locations are grouped by regions.
