All grown up: First kid Malia Obama graduates from high school

It’s a day every schoolkid dreams of: high graduation.
Friday, that milestone arrives for the oldest daughter of President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.
That’s right, first kid Malia Obama is graduating from high school.
The 17-year-old is receiving her diploma from the private Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. Seems like yesterday she was 10 and stepping into the White House for the first time with her family.
Since that day, Malia has gotten (and gotten rid of) braces, learned how to drive (Secret Service agents did the job — seriously), been named an influential teen by Time magazine and most important, avoided having hissy fits in public.
The president has said his soccer- and flute-playing daughter was “one of my best friends.”
