Tropical Storm Paul forms in Pacific, no threat

MIAMI (AP) – Tropical Storm Paul has formed in the eastern Pacific, well southwest of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
The National Hurricane Center in Miami reports that Paul is 660 miles (1062 kilometers) south-southwest of the southern tip of Baja California.
It has top sustained winds of 40 mph (64 kph) and is moving westward at 15 mph (24 kph).
No coastal watches or warnings are in effect.
The storm is expected to turn to the northwest, decrease speed on Sunday, and then move northward on Monday.
