NEW YORK (AP) – The Metropolitan Museum of Art has launched a major online resource that offers access to hundreds of the museum’s publications.
The launch of MetPublications was announced Thursday. The resource includes nearly 650 titles published from 1964 to the present, covering art, art history, archaeology, conservation and collecting.
MetPublications includes a description and table of contents for almost every title, as well as information about the authors, reviews, awards and links to Met titles by author and theme.
Museum officials say access could eventually expand to include nearly all books, bulletins and journals published by the museum since its founding in 1870.
