WASHINGTON (AP) – Amtrak says it has restored service between Washington and Wilmington, Del., following a power outage that briefly closed a section of the main rail line between New York and the nation’s capital.
The rail service said Tuesday afternoon that two of three tracks are open, with repairs continuing on a third.
The service disruption was caused by downed wires south of Aberdeen, Md.
The New York Yankees said they canceled practice at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday due to train cancelations between Baltimore and New York. The Yankees were in Baltimore on Monday for a playoff game with the Orioles.
