LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) – Police in Louisiana say they have made an arrest in connection with the disappearance of Lafayette college student Mickey Shunick.

A news release from the Lafayette Police Department on Thursday said an arrest has been made but did not specify the charge or any other details.

Police Cpl. Paul Mouton says police won’t say anything more until a news conference Friday afternoon.

Shunick was last seen shortly before 2 a.m. on May 19, days before her 22nd birthday. The University of Louisiana at Lafayette student had left a friend’s house to ride her bicycle home.
