SAN DIEGO (AP) – A federal judge has dismissed criminal charges against an immigration agent who ran a stop sign three years ago while on duty in San Diego County, killing three women.
U-T San Diego (

According to the California Highway Patrol, Dotson was driving his government car at speeds over 100 mph while following a suspected methamphetamine smuggler when he slammed into a van driven by 41-year-old Sandra Garcia. Garcia and two passengers were killed and two children were injured.
A prosecutor says a decision on whether to appeal the decision will be made later.
