Mobile app reports unfair airport screeners

WASHINGTON (AP) – A Sikh advocacy group has launched a free mobile application that allows travelers to complain immediately to the government about unfair treatment by airport security screeners.

The Sikh Coalition says its FlyRights app activated at midnight, and two complaints had been filed by 10 a.m. Eastern time Monday. The first was by a woman who said she felt humiliated by a screener who pulled her aside after she said she was carrying breast milk. The second was filed by a man who felt mistreated due to his religion.

The app can be used to submit reports to the Transportation Security Administration and the Sikh Coalition. The app can be used on iPhones and Android phones.

The TSA says it does not profile travelers and tries to address their unique concerns.
