Asian Pacific American to take Nev. federal bench

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) – The U.S. Senate has confirmed the nomination of the first Asian Pacific American to serve on a federal court bench in Nevada.
Miranda Du won confirmation to the U.S. District Court bench in Nevada on Wednesday on a 59-39 roll call vote.
Du is a Reno attorney.
