Police: Nev. mom kills daughter, 6, with scissors

LAS VEGAS (AP) – A 27-year-old mother accused of stabbing her 6-year-old daughter to death with a pair of scissors told Las Vegas police she had been taking a weight-loss product, had trouble sleeping for several days and felt an evil presence before the attack.
“‘Did I kill my daughter?’ Is she dead?'” the woman asked police after she was found naked, bloody and running through Las Vegas streets.
She was initially hospitalized after telling police the blood was from the “Lamb of God.”
Danielle Yvonne Slaughter was jailed Tuesday in Las Vegas pending a Wednesday court appearance on a murder charge.
It isn’t immediately clear if she has a lawyer.
She told police she took Hydroxycut, and that her daughter, Kyla Franks, spoke to her in an evil voice before the Sunday attack.
