MOBILE, Ala. (AP) – U.S. Coast Guard officials say they have recovered the body of the fourth crewmember that had been missing since a helicopter crashed in Mobile Bay in Alabama.
Officials said in a news release that the body of Petty Officer 3rd Class Drew Knight, of Thomasville, Ala., was recovered Thursday about 2 1/2 miles from the crash site in Mobile Bay.
The MH-65C helicopter crashed Feb. 28 in the bay’s shallow waters during a training mission. Chief Petty Officer Fernando Jorge of Cypress Valley, Calif., was found unresponsive shortly after the crash and later was pronounced dead.
A few days later, on March 1, searchers recovered the bodies of Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor of Snow Hill, N.C. and Lt. j.g. Thomas Cameron of Portland, Ore.
