SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) – Police in California say a 62-year-old man has been found dead inside a storage unit where he had been living.
San Bernardino police Lt. David Harp tells the Riverside Press-Enterprise (
http://bit.ly/xLLBpH) that the facility’s manager found the man’s body Monday.
Harp tells the Los Angeles Times (
http://lat.ms/wsJeGC) the manager hadn’t seen the man for several days and entered the unit through a partially open door.
Coroner’s investigators believe the man had died from a medical condition three to five days before he was found, but an autopsy will be performed. They don’t believe foul play was involved.
The man’s name has not been released because relatives have not been notified.
Harp says it’s illegal to live in a city storage unit, but it was likely all the man could afford.
